At least they still have the toxic sky background to let you know what you’re dealing with.

NJ: the land of factories and eggplant farms.

At least they don't have Lynyrd Skynyrd lyrics like Alabama.

Should have an oil drum or a body washed up on shore. Or a guy with a fake tan getting a handie.
If I was premier of New Jersey I’d do a series of plates honoring all of the states distinct regions.

That’s about the coolest thing Alabama could have done.

Yeah, do one for all two of them: the factory region and the wannabe NYC region.

Why not a Jersey Shore conmemorative plate?

Cant tell if it's tackier than Pennsylvania's 1990s-era "isn't it cool we have a website? We should put the URL on everything!" look.

When I was a little kid, I used to think the sand color on NJ plates was rust staining.

The best/worst part on the 1999-2003 plates was the address itself.
They adjusted it on the 2004+ plates.

Would you rather the tax money be spent on rights to “Sweet Home Alabama”, or putting the baby Jesus in schools?

Lots of things are photogenic if you take a picture from far enough away, there’s even a term for a basketcase that looks good in pictures, “20 footer”. Hard to see the needles, cigarette butts, and other trash from that far away.
